In February 2007 Super Screens bus and coach glazing will celebrate 20 years in business, with the reputation of providing a Reliable Quality Service, which we believe to be second to none.
Trading as a Sole Proprietor business, Richard Knight set up Super Screens to provide a mobile service for the supply and fitting of automobile glass.
From an original team of three, expansion was rapid as both our client base and good reputation grew.
Prior to 1995 the business had been concentrated on servicing private garage retail vehicles, but in early 1995 began to diversify into the market of public service vehicles. We received the contract to fit all glass on the Paddington to Heathrow Express link, run by Siemans Transportation in 1997, and were able to add them to our client base which comprises many major Passenger Transport Companies.
In June 2000 we were awarded a contract with Berkhof U.K to act as sole glass distributor and became their recommended glass installers in the U.K.
This was followed in 2002 by being named as preferred installer for Mercedes Evobus.
January 2004 saw the acquisition of our current integrated facility. With 12,000 sq.ft
of workshop and warehouse space we now have the capacity to re glaze a number of vehicles at any one time, as well as holding stocks in excess of 2000 product lines.
Richard Knight's vision is the continued growth of Super Screens, supported by the fundamental principle of providing a product range that is competitively priced and moreover reliably installed by professional and experienced technicians.
